Five leads a week is enough

Why a small, steady batch beats a big blast when you're testing an idea, and what five a week adds up to after a month.

Most cold outreach advice is written for sales teams who already know what they sell. When you're testing an idea, you need something else: answers you can read.

Small batches stay personal

At five leads a week, you can look each person up, write a first line that's actually about them and answer every reply the same day. At two hundred, you can't, and the replies you do get tell you less.

Steady batches make a sample

Five a week for three weeks is fifteen people from one audience, all receiving one message. That's enough to tell radio silence from a strong signal, and small enough to change course without burning a list.

Weekly batches make a habit

Switchback batches leads by the week of their first message. Monday is for picking five. Friday is for reading the verdict. Everything in between is follow-ups, which turn red when they're due.
